09 Symphony by Gina Ferrera "Ecode's Wild Ride" -I had the pleasure to collaborate with Ecode on this track.  "Ecode" is duo Ryan Seay and Ben Folk. We recorded live trombone and gyil, rhythms inspired by traditional Darkpe music.  "Daa iri daa kuri bema"- (blind man don't go drink the apatashi- strong liquor) Ecode: (Ryan Seay and Ben Folk) is breaking new grounds in electronic music production and performance. Formed within the walls of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, the duo is influenced by a broad spectrum of music, ranging from the lush orchestral sounds of Rachmaninov and Mahler to the driving beats of the night club. The versatile duo is comfortable working in many genres, including House, Dubstep, Minimal, Chill-out, and those in between. The grooving acoustic beats by Ben Folk and the singing trombone lines by Ryan Seay come together with electrifying synthesized sounds to create a lush sonic palate. http://soundcloud.com/ecode

Organic Spinning Sphere- live by Gina Ferrera "Organic Spinning Sphere" with the band "Polysonic" live at PEX Summer Festival 2010.  Polysonic= Shawn Hennessey (guitar/vocals), Gabe Globus-Hoenich (drums), Elliot Garland (bass), Cito Caraballo Candell (electronic percussion), Bill Phipps (percussion) and Gina Ferrera (malletKAT/gyil, vocals).


Axis Mundi by Gina Ferrera:   This music was originally scored for a live show "Deep Blue" performed by Archedream for Humankind.  Utilizing hand-painted masks & costumes, mesmerizing puppetry, and contemporary dance and pantomime, “Deep Blue” is ArcheDream for HUMANKIND’s magical journey through the elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire.

The Philadelphia Gyil Fusion Project served to bring the gyil into the Philadelphia music community.  30 guest artists are featured on the album.  It was released by ropeadope (digital record label).
